My mother’s marked sense of well-being at Brooks-Howell has brought our family the greatest joy. Brooks-Howell is a family. From independent residents to skilled care residents to employees, everyone is caring for one another. We are immensely grateful to be a part of this warm and generous community.
~Leslie, daughter of resident
At Brooks-Howell, we believe that caring can be as simple as a smile or as detailed as a health care plan. Each person’s welfare, residents and staff alike, is valued and nurtured–not just physically but emotionally, socially, and spiritually as well.
A gift of our community is its size. We are small enough so that everyone knows each other and cares for each other. You may find an independent resident reading to an individual in the healthcare unit. You might observe staff and residents enjoying a meal together in the dining hall. We worship, swim, garden, and celebrate holidays together because that is who we are as a community and as a family.
We are also blessed to be in relationship with several local partners who value the same sense of community. From doctors, pharmacists, and Hospice, to volunteers, churches, and businesses, each person who serves Brooks-Howell commits to a level of care and compassion that enriches the lives of our residents and our staff.
